Conclusion from our Test:
Starting off from where we left off on our 2011 STi sedan.
After finishing product testing on the Tomei Arms M7960 it was time to test out another turbo. We chose to go with the brand new state of the art GTX billet wheel technology from Garrett, and use the ATP GTX3076R Stock location turbo.

The goal for this stage of the build was to really maximize and fully utilize the stock components along with having a very fun and efficient car that was realistic for someone to drive on the street, track or drag. This turbo would be the perfect match for anyone who is trying to get the most out of a stock motor, have quick response, and have one wicked car.

To put everything out on the table, we really feel as though we were maximizing several key components on the car, the motor, and clutch is still 100% stock. The Process West intercooler was getting close to its peak efficiency, the turbo was running at 25Psi, and given the octane of fuel we were getting close to the peak stability point of both fuels that where being used. The amazing thing is just how fast this turbo spools, looking at both race and pump gas you can see that compared to the stock VF48 the increase in lag is quite minimal for the huge gain in performance. Also given the altitude of 4200ft this turbo, compared to sea level it would be able to easily produce over 400WHP at similar conditions due to the increased air density.

The power delivery on the vehicle is very smooth and predictable, given the high efficiency TMIC the lag is kept to a minimal and the throttle is very responsive. The vehicle very easy to drive, quick, fun, and overall a simple build utilizing quality bolt on components from proven manufactures ensuring that everything is running at a safe and optimal level.

COBB AccessPORT Now Available for 2011 STi

Just released is the AccessPORT for the 2011 STi. As usuals, both Stage 1 and Stage 2 calibrations are pre-loaded and ready to be flashed on to your vehicle. Stage 1 is ready to be flashed on a stock vehicle and Stage 2 can be flashed once you install a turboback exhaust. Get ready to unleash the power!

The coolest feature I think is the “Boost Select” functionality built into the maps. It integrates the SI-Drive system in your car allowing you to select two different boost settings. Put it in “S” or “Sport” mode” to turn down the boost, or throw it in “S#” or “Sport Sharp” for best performance and maximum boost!

Check out the dyno graph below, the powerband is much more broad and the gains are pretty substantial. Definitely one of the easiest and most cost effective power mod for your vehicle.

COBB Tuning announces the release of AccessTUNER Race Beta for the AccessPORT-equipped Honda Civic Si. The AccessPORT is the only hand-held OEM ECU flashing, managing and monitoring device available for the 2006-2009 Honda Civic Si. When combined with AccessTUNER Race software, the result is an unrivaled, self-tunable engine management system with all of the sophistication and drivability inherent to the factory ECU.

This initial release of AccessTUNER Race provides full support for Naturally Aspirated Honda Civic Si’s. Full access to fuel, ignition, intake camshaft phasing, DBW throttle, VTEC window, knock sensitivity, intake air temp and engine cooling temp tables allow complete tuning customization. Take advantage of the efficiencies gained with aftermarket intakes, headers, exhausts, cams and other bolt on modifications to extract the maximum power available.
