No, this is not a cruel April Fools joke, nor are your eyes deceiving you. Making its debut at the New York Auto Show, we get a glimpse of the 2011 STi Sedan. This has been the first time that Subaru has offered the STi in both sedan and wagon/hatchback variant.
So what does the 2011 STi Sedan boast besides a wing that looks like it has come off a Cessna? Well, Subaru has decided to beef up the suspension by stiffening the springs and bushings as well as increasing the thickness of the front and rear swaybars. They have also been able to shed significant amount of weight from the wheels to aid in the unsprung weight department. What about power? Power remains the same at 305 hp / 290 tq.
Like the 07 STi, the 2011 STi will also be available in the “Limited” trim which will add some luxury items such as a sunroof and leather seats. We will have to see whether or not the wing on the 2011 STi Limited will get toned down like the more modest one seen on the 2007 STi Limited.
